The relationship between science and religion?
I think first of all we need to know what is the meaning of each one

Religion is a arabic idiom that has a lot of meaning like:
King – obey – encompass – modesty – unique and etcetera
For example in qoran we see some different meaning about witch is deen (religion ) like:

1- the first meaning is as a style.

هُوَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلَ رَسُولَهُ بِالْهُدَى وَدِينِ الْحَقِّ لِيُظْهِرَهُ عَلَى الدِّينِ كُلِّهِ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ
alsaf surah -v -9

he it is who sent his messenger with the guidance and the true religion, that he may make it overcome the religions, all of them, though the polytheists may be averse
in this verse deen means witch we say sharyah or( style )

2- the second meaning is as a unique .

إِنَّا أَنزَلْنَا إِلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ بِالْحَقِّ فَاعْبُدِ اللَّهَ مُخْلِصًا لَّهُ الدِّينَ

. surah alzomar v-2-
surely we have revealed to you the book with the truth, therefore serve allah, being sincere to him in obedience .

prophesier tabatabaee says: deen or(religion) is the idea and a lot of practical moral orders that revealed from allah to his prophet to guiding mankind that cause bliss and good luck in (شیعه در اسلام ص41) . two world(this life and hereafter)
